Citizen journalism, also known as participatory journalism, or
people journalism is the act of citizens playing an active role in the process of collecting, reporting, analyzing and disseminating news and information. It’s from this background that Hivso a Dutch Non-Governmental Organisation in partnership with a South African NGO called SANGO Net and with financial support from the European Union have launched a new project called Citizen Journalism in Africa Project. 17th teachers from central province were targeted to equip them with psychosocial support (PSS) skills in working with Children Affected by AIDS (CABA). 24 Community Caregiver empowered with Bicycles
Mishikishi Mission in Masaiti district was a hive of activities on
9th August 2007, when Copperbelt Health Education Project (CHEP) through its CommunityBased Care for Orphans and vulnerable Children [CBCO] programme handed over bicycles to 24 community care givers. This came from the background that orphans are among the most vulnerable groups in society and there are few support systems outside the family for them.
